A few experiences to discover away from the touristtrails

There are places and experiences that we rarely share. Not out of selfishness, but rather out of discretion and respect. Respect for enchanting places, whether natural sites or local businesses. Respect for those who preserve them, care for them and turn them into truly exceptional moments. Respect for a culture that has inspired, fascinated and captivated us for a thousand and one nights.

That said, we will give you a few clues. Just a few. A handful of glimpses of what could make your stay in Morocco truly exceptional — a stay you will remember forever.

Marrakech, from surprises to discoveries

How about a coffee?

Exploring Morocco and Marrakech like an insider requires a keen sense of curiosity. An irresistible desire to explore. A need for both novelty and familiar landmarks. The first step, in our opinion, would be to enjoy... a coffee. But beware, not just any coffee! A coffee to savor while seated near the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square, or in the heart of the Marrakech medina. A coffee that gives you time to observe the life bustling around you. To soak it all in, experiencing it up close and breathing in its scents.

Marrakech, right before your eyes!

But perhaps you would prefer to gain a little height. To better watch the comings and goings of street vendors and the wanderings of fellow travelers. If so, make your way up to the top floor of the House of Photography (after first exploring the various exhibitions tracing the history of Morocco). Settle down on the panoramic terrace. There, while sipping mint tea accompanied by biscuits, the everyday life of an extraordinary city will unfold before your eyes.

Ice cream or nothing!

There will come a moment when the call for refreshment makes itself heard. A siren song. Or, more precisely, a call to satisfy your sweet tooth. One obvious choice will present itself: the Ice Mama ice cream shop! Here, ice creams and sorbets taste like nature. Little sugar and no industrial ingredients. But the flavors... Oh, the flavors! Simply breathtaking! And for good reason: they are all selected fresh each day and made from fresh, seasonal fruit.

If you could only read a few pages of a Moroccanbook…

The secrets of a garden

Another wave of freshness will embrace you as you wander through Le Jardin Secret. A magical place. An oasis filled with exotic spaces, fountains, pools and carefully designed pathways that soothe both body and soul. Here, you can discover the historical and architectural richness of a truly unique country. And, almost as if by magic, you find yourself meditating, contemplating and breathing. Rediscovering inner peace.

Artisans, storytellers of a land

Of course, there are the stalls of the Medina. Nothing secret about them. Not for those who know how to observe and ask questions. Because behind every piece of leather, brass, wood or ironwork lie true masters. Craftspeople whose hands transform these materials into works of art. People whose expertise and craftsmanship pass on the history of a land and its people. Do not expect many more details from us. No, we will let you explore, search and investigate. Only then will you truly understand…

When the sun goes down

And then there is what nature itself chooses to offer us. As it sets behind the walls of Marrakech, the sun reveals another side of the city. One of inexplicable intensity. From a rooftop in the heart of the Medina, the spectacle is simply extraordinary: the stones of the houses, grand gates and museums take on an even deeper red. Here and there, palm trees make their silhouettes dance. In the distance, the Atlas Mountains emerge, prouder than ever.

Visiting Marrakech and Morocco therefore requires curiosity and a sense of adventure. Patience and humility. And sometimes, a little perseverance. (And a good pair of shoes.) If you have all that, your holiday in Morocco will be much more than a holiday; it will become a source of unforgettable pleasures and memories.
